Linux Installation Problems

Preparation:

Introduction to various USB flash drive modes

1, USB-HDD: Hard Disk simulation mode, DOS boot after the display C: disk, hp u disk formatting tool to make the U disk that uses this boot mode. This mode is highly compatible, but cannot be started for some computers that only support USB-ZIP mode.

3, USB-HDD +: enhanced USB-HDD mode, DOS boot after the display C: disk, high compatibility. Its disadvantage is that it cannot be started on computers that only support USB-ZIP.
4, USB-ZIP +: enhanced USB-ZIP mode, support USB-HDD/USB-ZIP dual-mode boot (depending on the computer, some BIOS may display C: disk after DOS boot, some BIOS may display A: disk after DOS is enabled, so as to achieve high compatibility. Here, in theory, you should be able to enter the installation selection page after clicking the first one. However, during the first installation, the black and white pages are displayed.

I thought it was a success at first, but it was wrong to take a closer look.

Through searching on the internet, it turns out that the device file name is not set correctly.

Enter the following command

Here, the focus is on how to find the file name of the USB flash drive.

In P67, I have a very detailed introduction.
To put it simply, the file display is determined by the device detection sequence. The USB disk is identified by the system after it is started. It is assumed that the USB file name should be in the following format. Of course, this is not absolute, other hardware may be detected later.

 

If I am a hard disk connected to an IDE device, it can be divided into Master and Slave devices. The file names of these four IDE devices should be shown as follows:

Master Slave

IDE1 (Primary)/dev/hda/dev/hdb

IDE2 (Secondary)/dev/hdc/dev/hdd

 

Another thing to mention here is that if a hard disk is partitioned, different partitions are also detected.

For example, if I have a hard disk and it is divided into four zones, the following should be displayed in sequence: P1:/dev/hda1.

P2:/dev/hda2

P3:/dev/hda3

P3:/dev/hda4

Therefore, it is obvious which is the file name of usb.

After finding the usb file name, you can press ctrl + alt + del to restart the machine.

Return to the initial start point, sit in front of the screen, and use the up and down keys to select the first one. Pay attention to the English at the bottom of the screen. If you do not know English, contact your mobile phone translator, no shame.

My machine is e, and some machines are tab.
