Uucico is a file transfer tool used to process UCP or uux messages sent to the queue. Uucico has two working modes: Active mode and affiliated mode. In active mode, uucico calls the remote host. In affiliated mode, uucico accepts calls from the remote host.

Parameter description
- -C or -- quiet do not change the content of the record file and update the current status when you do not perform any work.
- -C or -- ifwork: The host specified by the-s or-S parameter is called only when a job is executed.
- -D or -- nodetach should not be offline with the control terminal.
- -E or -- loop is executed in affiliated mode, and a prompt is displayed asking for login.
- -F or -- force: when an error occurs, the host is called again without waiting for any time.
- -I <type> or -- stdin <type> specifies the connection port type when a standard input device is used.
- -I <FILE> -- config <FILE> specifies the configuration file used.
- -L or -- prompt prompts for logon.
- -P <connection port number> or-port <connection port number> specifies the connection port number.
- -Q or -- quiet do not start uuxqt service programs.
- -R0 or -- slave is started in affiliated mode.
- -S
- -U <user> or -- login <user> specifies the user account to log on to, rather than entering any logon account.
- -V or -- version displays the version information and ends the program.
- -W or -- wait is in active mode. When the call action is executed, a prompt screen asking for logon appears.
- -X <type> or-X <type> or outgoing-debug <type> starts the specified troubleshooting mode.
- -Z or -- try-next: when the execution fails, try the next selection without terminating the program.
- -- Help: displays help and ends the program.

Start the uucico service in active mode. Enter the following command at the command prompt:
