There are two situations in which a byte is converted to int:

1) to keep the value constant

Application scenarios: Numerical calculations, and so on.

Method: The coercion type conversion can be used directly: int i = (int) Abyte,

For example: If the Abyte=0xff (that is, the value is-1), then converted to int, I is 0xFFFFFFFF, the value is still-1.


2) Keep each bit in the lowest byte unchanged, 3 high bytes are all filled with 0

Application Scenario: Codec operation,

Method: Use bit operation: int i = abyte & 0xFF,

For example: If Abyte=0xff is converted to int, I is 0x000000ff.
