1.oracle10g after the download is complete, unzip, select "Setup.exe" to start the installation after the decompression is complete.

The 2.oracle home directory location is where Oracle is ready to install, called "Oracle_home", and typically Oracle gives a suitable location by default based on the size of the current computer's hard disk. Oracle can be installed with the ability to install Oracle software, and then create a separate database, or at the time of installation, you can select the "Create Startup database" check box, when installing Oracle products, while creating a database, for beginners, recommended such an installation. Fill in the global database name, as well as the administrator's password. The global database name is the unique identity of the database in the server network.

3. Click "Next" to start an environmental check on the Oracle server, primarily to see if the server meets the conditions of the Oracle installation, such as whether the operating system is supported, whether the system memory meets the minimum requirements for Oracle installation, and so on.

After the 4.Oracle check is passed, click "Next" to list all the default options in the Oracle installation process.

5. Click the "Install" button to enter the installation screen.

6. After installation, we have entered the installation phase of various Oracle tools, including Network Configuration Wizard, Isql*plus and so on.

7. Next, automatically start DBCA (Database Configuration Assistant) into the Create default DB stage.

Databases in Oracle are primarily files that hold data that can be found on the computer's hard disk after the Oracle installation is complete, including data files, control files, and database log files.

The database is created with a series of memory spaces and background processes that serve the database, known as instances of the database. Each database will have at least one instance for its service. The memory structure in the instance is called the system Global Area (SGA), which allocates considerable memory space to the SGA based on the performance of the current computer system.

8. Once the database is created, you need to set the default user for the database. Two user sys and system presets are provisioned for administrators in Oracle. At the same time, Oracle provides a general user for program testing Scott, password management, you can set a password to the database user, set whether to lock. Oracle clients use usernames and passwords to log on to an Oracle system before they can operate on the database.

The default user, SYS and system users are not locked, after successful installation can be used directly, Scott users are locked by default, and therefore cannot be used directly, you need to set the Scott user to non-lock status for normal use.

When this step is complete, the Oracle system is installed successfully.

"Remarks" in Oracle database, by default, all system data, SQL keywords, and so on are uppercase, in the course of the operation, Oracle will automatically convert the content to uppercase, so users do not need to consider case when the problem. However, in general, in order to good program habits, the proposed keyword capitalization, non-keywords but use lowercase.
