Partition swap prohibited in Linux

The computer uses memory to store temporary data. However, due to limited memory capacity, a temporary storage space needs to be opened on the hard disk, which is the swap partition.

Swap partitions are also annoying. Hard Disks are much slower than memory, not to mention the cache and registers in the CPU. For this reason, when a computer uses swap partitions, you will find that the current program and even the entire computer are running slowly.

Fortunately, the memory is cheap now. If you have enough memory, you can disable swap partitions on the command line terminal:

This command is applicable to most Linux distributions. If you are not sure, run a specific command for your Linux release (Google ).
