"Linux" Ubuntu16.04 Chinese Input Method installation

Recently just to the notebook installed UBUNTU+WIN10 dual system, but ubuntu16.04 did not bring their own Chinese input method, so after some online experience search integration, sharing the Chinese input method to install the experience. This article mainly introduced the Google Pinyin and IBUs Chinese Input Method installation, because of IBUs input method problem more, so at present I use is Google Input method.

A.installation of Google Pinyin

1. Install the Chinese Language pack

1. sudo apt-get install Language-pack-zh-hans

After the command is executed, the system will automatically install the required Chinese Language pack

2. Install google Pinyin Input method

1. sudo apt-get install Fcitx-googlepinyin

After the command is executed, the FCITX and Goolgepinyin programs are installed automatically , and some tools for configuring FCITX are installed

3. Open Systemsettings-->language Support, the system will be a language pack search, as prompted to install language packs.

4., Select "Keyboard input mode system" as: Fcitx.

5. Restart the computer or log off the user. After entering the interface can see FCITX Input Method framework has been run, the system status bar of the input method icon has changed.

6. Open Terminal, execute "fcitx-configtool" command, Input method configuration in interface .

Added google Pinyin Input method .

7. after the above steps, install the Fcitx-googlepinyin, in the "text input" under the relevant configuration.

Two. installation of IBUs Input Method

1. Install the Language pack

System settings–>languagesupport–>install/removelanguages Check Chinese, click on apply app, wait for download installation to complete.
2. Installing the IBUs frame

1. sudo apt-get install IBUs ibus-clutter ibus-gtkibus-gtk3 ibus-qt4

Start the IBUs frame: im-config-s ibus or Im-config.

3. Install the Pinyin engine

1. sudo apt-get install Ibus-pinyin

4. Setting the IBUs frame

1. sudo ibus-setup

5. Select Inputmethod, Add the Chinese pinyin to be installed just now.

6. Add Input Method

In the settings inside, select to Textentry, click on the lower left corner of the plus sign, the input method you want to use to add in, easy to switch later.

IBUs Precautions:

1. after the installation of the fuzzy Pinyin to remove the check, otherwise the input may not be displayed correctly.

2. the [InvalidUTF-8] issue occurs after installation

Click the Pinyin icon in the top right corner of the desktop and click Preferences as shown in

Click on the General tab, as the Chinese input method to set the perfect angle, input Chinese will appear [Invalid UTF-8] error, so the input method is set to half-width (some pictures from Baidu)
