Database creation and Deletion
First, start the Service Manager:
Next, open the Enterprise Manager:
Right-click the "Database" folder and select "New Database". The dialog box is displayed as follows:
Enter the name of the database you want to create in the "name" field (taking sky2098 as an example). You can also configure other parameters through "Data Files" and "transaction logs, click OK to create a database named sky2098:
To delete a database, specify a database, right-click the icon of the database to be deleted, and select "delete". The displayed dialog box is as follows:
You can select the deletion method by selecting "Delete backup for database and restore history (d.
Database Backup
Specify the database to be backed up, right-click the icon of the database to be backed up, and select "backup database" under the "all tasks" list. The following dialog box is displayed:
If you want to back up other existing databases, select the following from the drop-down list:
You can configure "name" and "Description". The "Description" option is optional.
There are four backup options. Select "database-complete" and click "add:
You can use "file name" to specify the path of the local disk to be backed up. Click to select the path and file name:
Click OK consecutively to start the backup. The backup is complete:
The database is backed up. You can view the backup database in the specified path ,:
Database Restoration
Create a new database (such as newsky2098) and restore the database to be restored.
Specify the database to be restored (newsky2098), right-click the database icon, and select "Restore database" under the "all tasks" list. The following dialog box is displayed:
Restore option. To select "from device", the dialog box is changed:
Click "select device" in the parameters ":
Click "add ":
Find the path of the database that has been backed up and select the database that has been backed up:
Click "OK" consecutively until the "Restore database" dialog box is displayed. Select the "options" tab in the dialog box:
Select "Force restore on existing database" and click "OK" to display the restoration progress. A message is displayed, indicating that the restoration is successful:
The database is restored.
