Sys user authorization capability of Oracle in different versions

Source: Internet
Author: User

Today, the same thing happened in 8i. If you log on with sys, you cannot directly grant the object permission of user a to user B. The following statement reports an error that is not limited:
Grant select on usera. Table1 to userb

Later, I found a 9i Database test and found no error.
So I checked the document: Oracle Administrator's Guide and found that this feature was added only in 9i or later versions.
By querying the permission view, we can see that after authorization in this way, the authorizer is still usera, which is related to SYS authorization.

8i this document records that the grant option permission must be granted to SYS by usera before sys can be transferred.
Connect to usera first
Grant select on Table1 to sys with grant option;
Then, use sys to connect
Grant select on usera. Table1 to userb;
