To modify the logical file name in a SQL Server database

Use the file_name function to return a logical filename for a given file identification (ID) number.

As follows:

The following example returns the file name file_id 1 (master database file).

Use master

SELECT file_name (1)

When we restore a database from a backup, the logical file name of the database does not change.

You can change the logical name of the data file or log file as an alternative to the MODIFY file clause of ALTER DATABASE.

alter database 数据库名
modify file (
name=逻辑名
,newname=新逻辑名
)

In fact, the above statement changes the name field in the Sysfiles and sysfiles1 system tables.
