Unbuntu16.04 install sogou Pinyin input method,

To make my computer relatively safer, I installed a ubuntu physical machine.

I installed the sogou Input Method in unbuntu because I often enter Chinese characters.

1. Download the installation package for Linux on the official website of sogou Input Method: http://pinyin.sogou.com/linux/. download the corresponding version of the host (check whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit)

2. Find the file and run the sudo dpkg-I sogoupinyin_2.1.0.0082_amd64.deb command on the terminal.

If the installation is not successful, check the following error message and find that fcitx is not installed. fcitx is an input method system, and sogou is based on this system. Therefore, we need to fix fcitx first.

(1) first add the Source: sudo add-apt-repository ppa: fcitx-team/nightly

(2) Add the source and update it: sudo apt-get update & apt-get upgrade.

(3) start to install fcitx: sudo apt-get install fcitx (the system may have been installed). If an error occurs, run apt-get-f install, then sudo apt-get install fcitx.

(4) install the fcitx Configuration tool: sudo apt-get install fcitx-config-gttk

(5) install table-all: sudo apt-get install fcitx-table-all of fcitx.

(6) install the im-switch tool: sudo apt-get install im-switch

(7) after the above operations are completed, we will continue to install the sogou Input Method: sudo dpkg-I sogoupinyin_2.1.0.0082_amd64.deb. In this case, an error will be reported.

(8) Go to system settings-> language support and set the keyboard input method to fcitx.

(9) Search for fctix configuration and set the sogou Input Method to default: Select sougoupinyin and click^Until sougoupinyin appears at the top.
