A Cygwin
Cygwin is a class UNIX® environment for microsoft®windows® operating systems. It contains a real Unix shell, a portable operating System Interface (POSIX) emulation library, and thousands of UNIX utilities.
Role:
1 as a beginner of Linux/unix, you can use Cygwin to simulate the use of Linux/unix on Windows;
2) can be based on Cygwin to access Linux/unix from windows;
3 can simulate Linux development environment on Windows, such as using gun compiling and debugging tools to do program development;
4 a Linux/unix application to Windows can be implemented based on the Cygwin middle tier; (Cygwin DLL implements LINUX/UNIX-style encapsulation of the Windows underlying API)
5) Note that the Linux/unix tool running in Cygwin is actually the corresponding Windows EXE version of these tools, Cygwin can not directly run the Linux/unix application;
