The Windows NT Server hot backup system provides the following functions:
(1) The two Windows NT servers are closely integrated into a stronger running environment. The two servers use multiple heartbeat detection methods to monitor the running status;
(2) ensure real-time backup of Windows NT transactions. The two servers use the shared disk array or hard disk image to synchronize the database and ensure real-time synchronization of the database or application system, it can automatically take over the database or all services of the system when the host fails to ensure the normal and uninterrupted operation of applications;
(3) Octopus supports both network images and disk arrays. It is an extension product of Microsoft Windows NT Clusters, which is more economical and practical for the securities business department. It implements server clusters through four layers of network transmission, controls data transmission, read/write, and erasure through reliable LAN server manager, and supports multiple network protocols (priority can be set according to the specific environment ), therefore, it is highly efficient and supports the following protocols:
TCP/IP
Datain-oriented TCP/IP
Dtatgram-oriented SPX
NETBIOS over Microsoft NETBEUI
NETBIOS over SPX
Name Pipes. (Edit lynn)
