As the amount of data contained in business transactions continues to increase, service providers are looking for ways to make data management for the public cloud easier. Big data is becoming more and more important, and cloud service providers want to get involved in the Enterprise database field.

Research institute IDC predicts that large data will increase at a rate of 60% a year, with structured and unstructured data. Enterprises need to find ways to play the role of these data, and for a long time the database is a very good solution. Today, service providers are using cloud technology to introduce more ways to host these databases in public clouds, freeing users from cumbersome database hardware customizations while giving users the ability to scale databases. "This is a very big market," said Jeffkelly, a large data research expert at the research firm Wikibon. The cloud will be the ultimate destination for many large data. ”

Of course, there are still a lot of problems in Dbaas (database as a service), especially about the sensitive information stored on the cloud and the disruption of cloud services. However, the emerging market for cloud databases and tools is clearly accelerating. The following are 10 cloud database tools that are of interest to the networkworld of the United States. Some are direct relational databases, SQL or NoSQL database providers, while others focus on open source databases. Of course, the 10 cloud databases listed here are unlikely to be exhaustive, and large market participants such as Oracle, Hewlett-Packard and Emc/vmware have launched their own cloud-based offerings and their strategies for these tools.

1. Amazon Web Service (AWS)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has a variety of cloud-based database services, including relational and non relational databases. Amazon relational database (RDS) is able to run multiple instances of MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server, while the Amazon Simple Database (Amazonsimpledb) is a non patterned database dedicated to small workloads. On the NoSQL side, Amazondynamodb is a database that supports solid-state drives, which can automatically replicate workloads in at least 3 free space. Ctowemervogles of Amazon Web Services says Dynamodb is the fastest-growing service in the history of Amazon Web services. In addition, Amazon has released a number of ancillary data management services, such as the latest release of the redshift Data Warehouse, and the ability to help users consolidate data from multiple sources for easy management of Datapipeline.

2.EnterpriseDB

Enterprisedb focused on the Open-source PostgreSQL database, but the reason for its reputation is its ability to work with Oracle database applications. By using Enterprisedb's postgresplusadvanceserver, users can use the Enterprisedb for local Oracle database applications. Currently Enterprisedb has been able to run on the cloud services of HP and Amazon Web services. In addition, Enterprisedb also has two-dollar replication and regular backup functions.

3.GarantiaData

Garantia provides users with a gateway service through which users can run Open-source Redis and memcached memory non-relational database services on the Amazon Web Services public cloud. Garantia software can help developers automatically expand nodes, create clusters, and fault-tolerant models for these open-source data platforms.

4. Google Cloudsql

Google's cloud database services are focused on Google Cloudsql and bigquery these two major products. The former was described by Google as a fully relational database infrastructure similar to MySQL, while BigQuery was portrayed as an analytical tool for running large dataset queries on Google's cloud infrastructure.

5. Microsoft Azure

Using its SQL Server technology, Microsoft has developed a relational database that allows users to directly access the SQL database in the cloud, or to host instances of SQL Servers in virtual hosts. Microsoft is also very concerned about the hybrid database, which uses Sqldatasync to consolidate data from users ' local and azure clouds. Microsoft also has a service called tables, which uses the BLOBs (binary large object storage) algorithm and is optimized for media files such as video and audio.

6.MongoLab

In the NoSQL world, there are a variety of database platforms to choose from, including MongoDB. Mongolab allows users to access MongoDB via Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and joyent, and other large cloud service providers. Like other gateway type services, Mongolab consolidates multiple PAAs (platform-service) tools at the application level. Mongolab can be accessed either in a shared environment or in a dedicated environment, but the latter typically has a slightly larger overhead than the former.

7.Rackspace

With a product called "clouddatabases", a Rackspace database can be either a cloud or a managed services solution. Rackspace focuses on clouddatabases virtualization, which they believe will give database services far more than the performance based on pure virtualization infrastructure. Clouddatabases also consolidates a SAN networked storage based on the OpenStack platform. Rackspace also recently released a NoSQL database on its cloud services, developed by Cloudant, a service provider.

8.SAP

SAP, the enterprise software giant, is now Hana into the cloud market through a memory technology-based platform. The cloud database from Hana complements other local database tools such as Sybase. The database is now available in the cloud services of Amazon Web services. Hana also includes other non-database applications, such as business management tools and application development tools.

9.StormDB

Unlike other cloud databases, Stormdb is the relational database that runs its distribution in the entity server, which means there is no virtual host. Stormdb officials point out that this can lead to better performance and easier management because users do not have to choose the capacity of the virtual host for their database. However, even with an entity server, users are sharing servers in the cluster. But Stormdb promises that all users ' databases are independent. In addition, Stormdb can automatically fragment the database in the cloud. The company is currently running a free beta.

10.Xeround

Xeround is a management tool that can deploy scalable MySQL databases across multiple cloud vendors and platforms. Xeround provides a high level of accessibility and scalability, not only across Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, Joyent, HP and other cloud vendors, but also on OpenStack and Jie (Citrix) platforms.
