Evening News-Comprehensive report 10th, speaking on Wen Jiabao's upcoming U.N. Climate change conference in Copenhagen, China's deputy Foreign Minister Wang Guangya said it would inject new impetus into international negotiations on climate change. Ambitious goal of self-establishment Wang Guangya said that the Chinese government recently announced its goal of controlling greenhouse gas emissions, and decided that by 2020 China's GDP carbon dioxide emissions fell 40% to 45% from 2005. By 2020, China's non fossil energy consumption accounted for 15% of the total, forest area than 2005 increased by 40 million hectares, forest volume than 2005 increased by 1.3 billion cubic meters. These goals of self establishment are ambitious, not only in line with the "Bali Road map" on the requirements of the mitigation actions of developing countries, but also fully demonstrate that the Chinese Government is actively promoting the "Bali Road map" negotiations to achieve positive results in Copenhagen. China has three points to expect Wang Guangya to say that China has three expectations for the meeting. First, the Conference should establish a significant quantitative emission reduction target that developed countries should bear in the second commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol, and ensure that developed countries that have not ratified the Kyoto Protocol bear comparable commitments to reduce emissions. Secondly, the Conference would have to make effective institutional arrangements to ensure that developed countries fulfilled their commitments to provide financial, technology transfer and capacity-building support to developing countries. Thirdly, the Conference should clarify the need for developing countries to adopt appropriate adaptation and mitigation actions in accordance with their national circumstances in the context of sustainable development, with the support of technical, financial and capacity-building in developed countries. Only in this way can the conference make a fair, just and reasonable arrangement for the future international cooperation in tackling climate change, and provide a mechanism for tackling the challenges facing the whole human race. Will inject new impetus into international negotiations "Premier Wen Jiabao will deliver an important speech at the UN Climate Change conference in Copenhagen to give a full description of China's stance and advocacy for actively tackling climate change and promoting international cooperation in climate change." Premier Wen will also meet with some of the country leaders attending the meeting. In conclusion, Premier Wen's presence in Copenhagen will inject new impetus into the international negotiations on climate change and will have a positive and important impact on international cooperation in climate change in the future. "said Wang Guangya.
