COLLECTD is a small, modular daemon for regular statistical collection of system information and for storing valuable information in a variety of ways. The main features include: a large number of plug-ins to collect CPU, disk and memory utilization, network interface and DNS communication, network latency, database statistics, and so on. Custom statistics can be easily added in a variety of ways, including executing any programs and plug-ins written in Perl. Its advanced features include a powerful network code to collect statistics for the entire setup, as well as SNMP Integrated query network devices.
COLLECTD 5.0.3 This version of a potential crash in the Python plug-in has been repaired. Error handling in Oracle Plug-ins may end up in an infinite loop, which has been resolved. A small improvement in the build system and documentation that has been made.
