iOS developer says AppleTV2 will be the biggest game player in history

Michael Gile, an iOS developer in Houston, was invited to give a speech to developers who came to the 360iDev conference on the theme "Apple TV application Development". Apple is not officially admitting that Apple TV can be installed as freely as iOS devices, but the second generation of Apple TV's system is based on iOS, allowing jailbreak developers to bring apps to Apple TV.

At the beginning of the speech, Gile made a bold prediction: "Apple TV 2 will be the biggest player in history if it allows you to run iOS games directly on Apple TV." At the 360iDev conference, Gile showed a menu navigation app, similar to Apple's own menu navigation, just putting the menu in an app. Gile is able to load and play video through this app, and he shows some of the other features of the app.   More exciting for the player, Gile revealed that he had obtained the latest "German command 3D" and "Thor Hammer" source code from the ID game company and was studying porting the two games to the Apple TV system, and so far it has been progressing well. Gile also announced that he would release another version of the popular cocos2d iOS development platform next month, and that his release would be available for Apple TV. With Gile sharing, cocos2d developers will be able to use the platform to bring their own games to Apple TV. &NBSP

Gile himself fascinated by the development of Apple TV. He made it clear he thought Apple's living-room device would go further and he had a rigorous attitude toward Apple's app development.
