IDC announces third-quarter global server market rankings

IBM ranked second with a 23.4% per cent revenue share, with IBM's revenues down by 19.4% per cent year-on-year, resulting in a 4.5% reduction in the quarterly revenue share, due to weak demand for system X and power Bae. Dell maintains a third position with a 16.2% per cent revenue market share. Dell's revenue fell by 6% per cent year-on-year and its revenue share was reduced by 0.4%.
