"China's cloud data center construction needs reasonable planning," in the recent Silicon Valley in the "Beijing Cloud Computing International High-level Forum", the Beijing Economic and Information Committee Jiang Guangzhi director in answer to the audience questions. At the same time, he thinks, in the cloud computing development brings the energy consumption, the cost pressure, Inner Mongolia is expected to become China's most important cloud computing Big Data Center base.

Cloud computing, as one of the hottest areas in the IT Internet industry, has received wide attention and enthusiasm in the world. The "Twelve-Five" plan and the decision of the State Council on speeding up the cultivation and development of strategic emerging industries all emphasize that cloud computing is one of the most important components of the next generation of information technology industry. The FT called cloud computing "one of the top ten innovations of the Future". Tian, director of the International High-level forum, said that cloud computing was the third wave of IT development following the PC and the Internet.

Missed the PC era, in the internet era just catching up with the end of development, a large number of domestic technology companies have firmly grasped the cloud computing this "new Wave." Data show that by 2015, China's cloud computing industry chain scale will reach 750 billion to 1 trillion yuan, in the strategic emerging industries accounted for more than 15% of the share.

With the development of technology and the soaring demand, the cloud computing in our country is booming, and the construction of the data center is surging. According to a 2011 white paper on China's cloud computing industry released by Sadie Consultants, China has already built a number of public projects, with local government as its representative, and all over the world are proposing future cloud computing development plans. Beijing proposes to "build a world-class cloud computing industry Center", Tianjin proposed "building a national cloud computing industry headquarters", Shanghai proposed "Sea of clouds Plan" to build "Asia-Pacific Cloud Computing Center", Shenzhen proposed the construction of "Pearl River Delta Cloud Computing Center", Chengdu proposed the construction of "Midwest Cloud Computing Center", Chongqing's "cloud Plan" is to invest billions, will build China's largest cloud computing center.

Guests of this forum, Beijing Economic and Information Technology Committee Jiang Guangzhi director in answer to questions, whether it is "public cloud" or "private cloud", the domestic cloud data center development has a worrying side, mainly reflected in some local government blind overheating construction. He believed that the entire cloud data center layout, the domestic need reasonable careful planning, cluster development. Considering that the cloud computing infrastructure has the characteristics of large scale, long payback period and high operation cost, it needs to be laid out according to the actual needs of each region to avoid duplication of construction, at the same time it needs to be coordinated from the national level to avoid waste of resources.

Sadie's report also pointed out that the current development of some areas of China's cloud computing industry deviated from the original intention, some construction projects not only failed to integrate and efficient use of surplus computing resources, but evolved into repetitive construction, repeat investment, resulting in a larger waste of IT resources. Jiang believes that in the next few years, China's cloud computing infrastructure industry will be the overall trend towards rich energy, high latitude region, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous region will become the most important data center of cloud computing base.

Large cloud computing base, in addition to strong technical support and network bandwidth, but also need to have adequate water, electricity and other resources to support its operations. And Inner Mongolia relies on about one-sixth of the country's proven coal reserves, one-third of its natural gas reserves and plenty of green energy, such as wind and solar, and air humidity, especially for the construction of a new cloud data center.
