Mandoc is a compiled "-mdoc" series tool that selects the BSD man page Roff macro package and "-man", mainly for UNIX manual history packs. The GNU Roff implementation displays the-mdoc page and provides-man support at the same time.

Mandoc 1.11.5 This version of the EQN has been significantly improved. MDOCML can now parse arbitrary eqn inputs (although GNU extensions are rarely accepted, and low-level blending with eqn Roff is not possible). At present, the equation presents a simple text. The formula parser meets the language specified in the Troff eqn System's second Edition user's Guide. This is also the first time a distributed Windows binary version has been released.
