After a long period of private testing and public testing, the interactive primary mobile application prototype design platform Pixate recently officially launched its own platform.
Native mobile application dynamic UI Design platform Pixate was founded in 2012, with the founder of Paul Colton and Kevin Lindsey, who had just graduated from YC last January. The goal is to help designers and developers to easily develop a dynamic, beautiful native mobile interface. Pixate is mainly for mobile developers, can support the use of CSS to develop mobile native applications (support iOS and Android), its interface is very intuitive and convenient, users can only drag and drop design elements, for property settings, you do not need to write any code to complete the interactive ability of the prototype design.
With this pure native mobile application prototype development and testing tools, designers can simulate complex interactions on the browser, including drag-and-drop, scrolling, long press, click, and so on, and through the mobile end of the app can be real-time viewing the prototype interactive effect. Because of the flexible configuration of CSS technology, developers do not have to rebuild the application every time they add new graphics elements, which greatly facilitates the development and deployment of the interface. Through this prototype development way designers can achieve rapid iterative development, timely prototype submitted to the project manager and other relevant personnel audit changes, thereby shortening the delivery to the engineering team for the next development time.
So it can be said that Pixate is a designer-oriented prototype design platform. Its main work is still focused on prototype development in the near future. But in the future there are plans to improve the design and engineering handover process, so that the designer's work smoother.
After the formal launch of the platform, Pixate also announced the services of the charging plan. Pixate for three package plans, personal version of the monthly fee of 8.34 U.S. dollars (in fact, 10 dollars, free to send 2 months), can support team collaboration and management of the team version of 16.67 dollars/month, on the basis of the team also supports single sign-on, independent brands, such as the Enterprise version of 49-99 U.S. dollars/month.
Pixate had successfully raised $60,000 from the Kickstarter and was subsequently selected as the YC Summer class in 2012 and funded by seed. Last year also won the Accel 3.8 million dollars.
With the development of mobile applications and the intensification of competition, the design style has been developed from static display to dynamic presentation, rich delivery and seamless transformation. Pixate can look for a growing market from this trend shift.
