The search function in the Windows operating system lapsed, and obviously the existing files were not searched, this need to be repaired.
Using the search function, the system prompts: Unexpected error operation can not be completed. Search function has failed.
One solution:
Find c: \ windows \ inf \ srchasst.inf, right click on the installation (if you need to install the disk, please insert).
Solution two:
In 【Start】 → 【Run】 enter: regedit Press Enter key, open the Registry Editor.
Followed by:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ CabinetState key, create a new string: Use Search Asst and assign no.
After the above repair, re-run the search function, the error message is gone, however, there has been a new problem: the operating system obviously there is this file, but can not search, or the search page is a blank!
Start → Run → enter: regsvr32 / i shell32.dll Click OK (or press Enter) to execute the command
Later, there will be registration dynamic link success message back to the file, click OK.
Follow the above method, in turn, register the following dynamic link file. regsvr32 jscript.dll regsvr32 vbscript.dll
Open the search function again, it has restored all the features.
