I have been working in human resources for many years, so I have accumulated some experience. I also know that many colleagues have published articles, how to write a resume, as well as the requirements of the etiquette of the interview, Bead Jade in the former, I will no longer say. And the university graduates to enter the stage of job search, so I would like to talk about the interview link some views, hoping to give you some help. Of course, just opinion, if you can make a case, it is lucky.

Even as the best HR, in the interview with the fresh students, I think will feel a little dazed: because I do not have the work experience, and no reference check can provide, while the study of professional knowledge and practical needs is actually disconnected, and some graduates do not even know what their interests are; Coupled with the mentality of the graduates of instability-quick success, the puny, the people are also a few. So many companies are starting to use competency (competency) to evaluate.

It is necessary to introduce what is competency competency first. Competency is a kind of behavior that can be observed, which shows more, more frequent, and more results in successful people. If the sea iceberg is used as a metaphor, then one-tenth of the water is this competency, and nine-tenths of the water below is our knowledge, skills, attitudes, values. If you are asked in an interview whether you will seriously implement each of the company's rules, the answer is "yes", and this problem seems to us to be ineffective. So in our company, all the problems require as much as possible to give a practical example.

Well, back to our topic--how a fresh student answers a series of questions in an interview.

Be sure to remember before you start:

Golden rule: 80/20-you have to assume 80% of the conversation and the interviewer will only say 20%.

Platinum rule: You have to try to control the pace and topic of the interview.

The rule of thumb: throw it back at the interviewer for not being sure.

1. Introduce yourself in a minute

This seems to be the answer. Don't think it's easy. If you use a minute to repeat your resume, congratulations, your impression is not! It is recommended that you introduce your name, school, and Major in 20 seconds. Then changed a turn, draw their own strengths or strengths. Be sure to inspire the interviewer to your liking, or at least interest, in the shortest possible time.

The successful model can be: My name is xxx, the English name Xxx,xx xx city people, this June will be from xx school XX Professional undergraduate (specialist) graduation. In addition to the introduction you see on the resume, I would like to specifically say my expertise in XXX/My biggest feature is ... (given case). It is based on self-confidence in this respect, so that I have the courage to apply for your company's xxx position. (Look at the watch) a minute arrived, I hope I did not timeout. (Very sunny Smile)

If the interviewer is not an EQ too low, your last words should make him relax and smile. The younger one will then ask, "Why do you think so?" If he does ask you that, bingo! you have a chance to manipulate the interview!

2. One of the questions that fresh students often ask is: Why do you choose your current major?

Be careful, the purpose of this question is to examine your decision quality this competency, so do not simply say "interested" or "employment prospects optimistic" and so on. Give you a good example of success (the same applies to a success/maximum decision you've made):

Q: Mr. Zhang, why do you choose the finance profession?

A: Indeed, finance has become a popular specialty in colleges for many years, which has resulted in the inevitable fierce competition in employment. But when I chose the financial profession is not simply because of its popularity. I have already locked the employment target in the Suzhou Industrial Park foreign-funded enterprises. According to my high three o'clock collected statistics, the park was at that time a foreign company XXX home, and the annual rate of xxx% increase. At least 5 people in each company's finance department (General Ledger, receivable and payable, tax, cashier plus a manager), plus the average turnover rate of the park is 15%, then when I graduate, I can have xxx vacancy. I graduated that year should have XX related professional graduates. There may be 10% of them will aim at Suzhou, and I filled in the local reputation of Suzhou University is acceptable, belong to the middle. So, 1/2 of the opponents can be eliminated by me. Plus I am in Suzhou Local study, four years can be earlier to seek opportunities, so I have the confidence to choose this major.

In fact, no interviewer will believe that you have really done such a rigorous investigation, but you have shown your ideas for making decisions, so you can add points.

Remember: All answers should be in line with your professional characteristics. Don't speak too well, you can justify yourself, or they will think you are either too hypocritical or too arrogant. And, should be shown to be interested in their own professional, or add some drama effect: I have understood that the financial management is the account, so the beginning of a real regret for a while, until the big Three o'clock began in the practice of the enterprise, has changed, and really like my professional. This appears to be authentic, and more importantly, it is natural to guide you to the prepared question: the harvest of the internship.

3. In order to examine you learning on the fly this competency, we usually ask you for your internship during the harvest.

At this point, do not exaggerate your achievements, modest. Also, you might as well say your own mistakes (don't be afraid, after all, you are in the internship). Remember: Describe the situation at that time (situation), what you are going to achieve (Task), what steps you have taken (actions), the outcome of the event (result), and the lessons you have learned (Lesson learned) And how to use it later to avoid making similar mistakes. Finally make a summary: the original books on the knowledge to be able to skillfully use in the work, this period still has a long way to go. Can also say: back to school, I have a summary of my internship experience, I found myself in XXX need to strengthen. Therefore, I am very careful to use the last semester of the university to make up for this deficiency. Now, I have confidence in myself, if time can turn back, I believe I can do better.

4. Have you ever worked with others?

(Be sure to answer "yes") so, in this process, how do you deal with disagreement? Now it's time to examine your conflicts Management. Most of the companies now do not appreciate the lack of principles of the jolly. So, you have to wrap yourself up a bit stronger.

I am more satisfied with the answer:

Everyone in the team should be free and frank to express their views, I will be very serious listening, analysis, but I do not have a principle of my own to give up easily. Democracy needs to be concentrated after that. I am the president of the school English club, and in organizing the annual get-together, there are two officers who disagree with me. (Pause and let the interviewer remember your sparkle) I had a meeting with them. Everyone explained their reasons. I'm sorry I still haven't persuaded the two of them. In this case, I thank them for their active participation, but said that they will still adopt my plan. My philosophy is: Meeting is not equal to voting, do not need a minority to obey the majority, I am the person in charge, I believe I have the ability to take the best solution, if failed, I will take the main responsibility. And if I am a regular member of the team, I will keep my opinion, but still conscientiously implement the decisions that managers have made. Of course, after all, the school is different from the company, the situation will be more complicated, but I firmly believe that as long as the "on the matter to the people" principle, any problem can be solved.

When replying, be sure to look at the interviewer and smile to dilute your aggressiveness.

If you're not sure, you can toss the question back to the interviewer and try one (or the same question):

Q: How do you deal with disagreement?

A: You ask exactly is also my most confused point, and the school teacher never give us such advice. On the one hand, I do not want to do without the principle of good guys, on the other hand, everyone is a classmate, I do not want them to think I domineering. That's what I did: But until now, I do not know whether to do the right, perhaps I can get some advice from you, you said I was doing so there is a problem?

If the other party immediately to your words and deeds, then he is bound to be rookie, you need not be nervous, because, reasonable reaction should be noncommittal said: In fact, this problem will never have a standard answer.

5. Questions were asked as to how a number of problems should be resolved at the same time.

This is the competence of priority setting. The idea is to divide all things into 4 quadrants: important and urgent, important but not urgent, unimportant but urgent, unimportant or urgent. But remember, do not directly describe this idea, it will make people feel that you are not like a fresh student. It is better to use illustrative examples. I interviewed a better example: I was in the third time to review the preparation of English Level 6 exam, then have the opportunity to go to a company to do part-time department assistant, but need to spend three a day a week. At the same time, the monthly English salon activities to organize, but also (embarrassed to say) to spend time with the girlfriend (the last point is very important, can be active atmosphere, but also for the following to create a less important not urgent case). I used to go to work in the afternoon without classes, and I usually went back to school 5:30. The 30 minutes on the bus is just for summarizing the day's harvest in the company and the knowledge that needs to be learned. In the cafeteria and girlfriend dinner, 6:30 to the classroom self-study, to 10 to return to the dormitory. The work of the English salon was delegated to the two officers of the sophomore, who would come to me for 10 minutes every day in the self-study room, and I would give them some advice. In this way, I do not spend too much energy on the salon activities, can have the whole process of understanding and control. Then the 6-level examination passed smoothly, the company's evaluation of my work is very high, I also learned a lot of things; the activities of the English salon were held as scheduled and my girlfriend and I were not estranged.

This also shows three competencies: priority setting; Delegation and Work/life balance.

Q: I am a graduate of engineering, but very interested in human resources management and psychology, during the university also studied the relevant courses, graduated interested in doing the work. But the recruitment of the relevant professional units and a number of years of experience in the work of the requirements make me a lot of cold, if you want to engage in this aspect of the work, you can give some suggestions? Also hope enlighten, appreciate!

We recruit this year's fresh HR department is the engineering background.

In fact, our department for fresh students do not care about their professional, on the contrary, very welcome students of science and engineering, we believe that their ability to mathematical logic is excellent.

To engage in human resources, regardless of professional background, the following competencies are required:

1 approachable approachable

2.comfortable among exit managers facing top leadership can express

3.result/actoin oriented results/action-oriented

4.customer Focus on customers

5.interpersonal Savvy interpersonal skills

7.Listening Listening

8.Informing Information Delivery

As long as you have these basic qualities, everyone can join HR.

6. If you want to apply for a foreign company, how to prepare?

As a fresh student, before the interview, should understand the foreign company's department structure. In Europe and the United States for example, the General Department of posts from low to high in order: Assistant (if it is an undergraduate, sometimes can skip)-Commissioner-Senior Commissioner-Director-Senior Director-Department deputy manager/section manager-department manager. In general, supervisors require more than 5 years of relevant work experience, this is a watershed. Well, come back and talk about how to answer your career planning questions during an interview. In fact, this kind of question does not need you to answer to be unassailable, this also cannot do-you say popular, think you ambition, answer is too professional, feel you are high mo far.

To answer these questions, here are a few points to add:

1. Set a long-term goal related to your major; this goal is related to the work of the company but not within the enterprise (because of the limited space, there will be many too detailed problems). For example, the HR majors can say that their goal is to be an excellent talent assessment expert or a senior enterprise human resource consultant before the age of 35, or in the 10, and that students majoring in engineering and technology can become lean production experts or black belt masters. T majors can become experts in information resource integration and ERP solutions, and so on. Focus on what you want to do, not what level you want to climb.

2. Decompose this target to 1 years, 3 years, 5 years, 10 progress, and gradually advance. It's up to you to make up your own. Remember, each stage is about how you can contribute to your company, how you can improve it, and what your relationship with your long-term goals is. At this point, you can properly relate to the sector structure just mentioned.

3. In this process, in addition to their own ways to constantly recharge, but also to say what you want the company can give you how to help. such as the opportunity to have a job rotation, or to participate in various projects. Do not mention hope that the company will give you training, send you abroad, to reimburse you for tuition fees, to show their hope in the practice of growth.

4. Emphasize your own stable mentality. You can say this: "The Chinese people are most fastidious about the ' justifiable ' or ' not in their position, do not seek their position ', so many people think that only the position of the supervisor, can use the right of supervisor, play the role of supervisor. My philosophy is different from others, I think, on the contrary, when you show the ability of the supervisor to do more work, the company will naturally consider adjusting your position. In the absence of sufficient power, to use their influence, so I despise those who are thinking about the promotion without any achievements. "In this way, your self packaging succeeds half."

5. Finally, be careful not to be too confident in answering similar questions. Occasionally show the inexperienced can let the interviewer think you still have students of simplicity. "This problem is very big, I also had intermittent consideration in the school, now I speak briefly, may appear wishful thinking, hope to get your advice" such a buffer in many times very useful oh. (Remember the rules of diamonds?)

6. Questions were asked as to how a number of problems should be resolved at the same time. This is the competence of priority setting.

The idea is to divide all things into 4 quadrants: important and urgent, important but not urgent, unimportant but urgent, unimportant or urgent. This also shows three competencies: priority setting; Delegation and Work/life Balance

For repeated candidates not in the friend, want to remind you, whether inadvertently overlooked some details?

1. It is unfamiliar to your resume. I used to interview an engineer who didn't remember writing on his resume that he had "led the Process Improvement project". I confess, perhaps he was nervous, or too long to remember. However, to give people the feeling of his integrity has a problem.

2. Not listening. Be sure to keep listening when the interviewer is talking. Body posture, eyes, expressions and feedback can show whether you are listening.

3. Don't try to be smart. Every interviewer has his own style, and you are unique. The most taboo candidate to assume the requirements of a certain position or even an interviewer's preferences, and then disguise their character. Know that you can never succeed, but it will make people suspicious of you and even disgust.

4. Do not open your mouth "I like your company's corporate culture", a listen is false. Corporate culture only the people in it will really understand.

5. Do not say the following "stupid" words:

What products do you produce? (You can know it through many channels beforehand)

Is my future boss/colleague easy to get along with? (This is your problem)

I know your company is an American/European company, if I join, I can exercise my English. (We are not new Oriental)

This year's grind did not succeed, ready to review a year again test. (So you'll only work for one year at most?)

Do I get a promotion every year in the company? (I'm afraid everyone is a manager in 5 years)

As a man, I feel that I am more qualified than a girl for the job. (Beware that our headquarters is aware of the allegation of sexual discrimination against you)

Finally share some of the recent experience of my senior students:

1. Please, no matter how cold it is outside, please be sure to avoid wearing a bulging down jacket during the interview (the company has air-conditioning)! You can take off your coat after entering the room. Otherwise, the image will really be affected. Also, do not come for an interview with a backpack.

2. If the job is required to speak English, and you can speak, please hold your own, show once the mentality, do not be afraid. Some of my subordinates in the telephone interview can be very good English communication students, in the interview, even shy I asked English he answer Chinese.

3. If in the interview, the interviewer to your answer made a more negative evaluation, do not immediately protect themselves. Please listen humbly and wait for the right time to defend yourself. I am just very well-meaning to point out that a girl in the professional knowledge of a mistake, unexpectedly attracted her to the whole society denounced the accusation, and even tears.

4. When the interview questions need an example, please do not only speak in the student union live the case of the community. Also more contact with their own learning and practical experience. A student at a prestigious university answered my 5 questions and told me all about his experience in the drama club, making people think he never seemed to learn.

I stare at your side face
