Cimi, in collaboration with DMTF's Open Virtualization format specification (open Virtualization Format SPECIFICATION,OVF specification), provides a mechanism for packaging multiple machines and their requirements, You can also switch between cloud services and cloud services agents.   From a standardized standpoint, cloud services infrastructure management is a part of cloud computing that can be simplified and has a hidden and universal interface. Once the connection is established, the resource is instantiated, and the functional interface (for example, the database) should be able to connect directly to the resource, or the cost and latency will be introduced. Cimi focuses on infrastructure as a service (IaaS), not a platform as a service (PaaS) or software as a service (SaaS), so users and agents can transfer the entire workload. The basic resources of IaaS (machines, storage, and networking) are modeled on the following objectives: providing customers with management access to IAAS implementations, and facilitating portability between the clouds that support the Cimi specification. CIMI specifies a presentation state transfer style protocol that uses HTTP, although its underlying model is not specified as HTTP or can be directed to other protocols. As mentioned above, Cimi is only responsible for the management of the infrastructure and does not extend control to the applications and services that users run on it, but only as a service provider.   But Cimi is not an alternative interface between different clouds, we compare it to Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (Lightweight Directory Access Kyoto, LDAP): Although Mici also has a variety of directory services, But developers still like to develop for LDAP because it is a platform-independent interface. In the   industry, some important cloud standards initiatives are underway and standardization organizations are helping. This includes the Storage Network Industry Association (Storage Networking Industry Association,snia), which provides a cloud data management interface for data storage as a service (DaaS) (Cloud data Management Interface, CDMI) specification, and the Cloud Security Alliance (Cloud), is working to develop best practices and techniques in Izumo settings around existing security standards. All the standards and organizations behind them, from OpenCloud to Apachedeltacloud, also work together to help ensure that the infrastructure management provided by Cimi meets today's complex, proxy cloud.
