Stepsim is a lightweight simulator written in Python. It can make a simple real-time simulation of discrete systems, support the step-by-step simulation or operation, until the interruption condition and stop. Simulations are made up of containers and converters, a container that stores discrete amounts of a type of unit, which attracts from one or more container units and passes results to another container. Stepsim will not attempt to do any parallel processing, it handles the converter's round robin in a fixed order.

Stepsim version 0.5.3 removes step () from the converter and replaces it with draw (), process (), and deliver (), called Simulation.step ().
