2014 years is not the first time the word drone has entered a consumer "dictionary", but it does see that the use of these drones in some areas is indeed more advantageous than that of humans. Parcel delivery and the execution of some routine robotic tasks are some of the concepts that have evolved over the past 12 months with the development of drones. But since drones are a very typical emerging technology, when people realise they have more potential, they are more likely to be used in unexpected new ways. Let's take a look at some of this year's stunning drone projects.

Malaria-related information in south-East Asia

In the forests of Malaysia and the Philippines, a new type of malaria has been around for 10 years. This is the malaria parasite, which is thought to only affect long tail monkeys and pig-tailed monkeys for a long time. But recent reports, springing up, have pointed to human infections, causing many human organs to fail and eventually die.

Now, a team of medical experts are using drones to monitor the terrain from the forest, collect geographic data, and the number and trajectory of monkeys to gain a new perspective on the environment.

transporting drugs to the German island

While there are already heavyweight companies involved in the delivery of drones, such as Amazon and Google, Courier DHL has taken the lead in testing drones to deliver high-priority drugs to small German islands. From the pilot program you can see that DHL's parcelcopter carrying drugs fly over 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) and deliver the drug to a designated location.

Safely detect mine

Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the most mine-plagued countries, are expected to have 120,000 mines buried in their fields, using ground robots and animals to remove them, but these are time-consuming and dangerous.

Drone company CATUAV, Space services company Telespazio and the European Space Agency are working together to try to detect mines from high altitude, which will be quicker and less risky. The team can draw images from the sky using professional optical sensors and electronic devices that are equipped with the machine.

Against illegal fishing

Belize's famed coral reef ecosystem has been threatened by fishermen, but the fight against illegal activity has been difficult in a situation where most of the coast is obscured by leafy mangroves. The rules are in place, but they are hard to enforce.

The Belize Fisheries Department, together with the Wildlife conservation group, will fly drones above the coast. It can run autonomously for one hours, and drones shoot high-resolution photos and videos from above. The authorities can then search and deploy patrol vessels effectively on the basis of images of the suspects ' activities.

to avoid poaching of rhino

California State's company Airware teamed up with Kenya's OJ Pejeta Conservancy to test the drone's surveillance program, which helped keep the rhino population.

The idea is that when the images show the poachers, they can immediately deploy a security team to handle the incident. OJ Pejeta Conservancy said the project had the effect of surpassing their initial expectations.

Rapid response to sudden disease

When a patient encounters a sudden cardiac arrest, every second is critical, and the speed of response time is directly related to the patient's survival rate. Alec Momont, a graduate student at the Deft University of Technology in Holland, has developed a prototype product called ambulance drones to cut response time.

If there is a heart attack and other emergencies, they will immediately send the drone with a heart defibrillator to the scene at a maximum speed of 100 km/h. The integrated camera on the drone can transmit real-time footage of the scene to the doctor and allow doctors to guide witnesses to the incident by using a camera and microphone to carry out some emergency relief.
