3D desktop under UbuntuLinux

UbuntuLinux's 3D desktop-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. The following is a detailed description. I thought I used RedHat when I first started playing Linux. I also tried Mandrake and then Mandriva, and then I came up with a Ubuntu. It seems that everyone went to hold it overnight, I have never kept up with the trend, so I cannot understand the LinuxApp version above 88. This year, I finally replaced the original Mandriva on the Desktop with Ubuntu 7.10. Then I had a lot of new knowledge on related forums, and installed software I used for scientific research, such as VMD and Grace, GROMACS, Mathematica, gFortran, Pymol, and Kile and CJK used to write Latex, and successfully solved the problem of playing rmvb files by MPlayer. the built-in SCIM input method is also very good and is currently running well, ubuntu is a good name. Now, besides ppstream and pplive, Windows is basically not used.

But the most popular Linux is its 3D desktop. I tried using Mandriva before, but compiz was just launched. It was not very stable, just a prototype of 3D desktop. Now compiz and beryl are combined into compiz fusion, which greatly enhances functions and can be configured with brilliant 3D desktop effects. Recently, I finally made my Linux a desktop with 3D special effects. Below are some of them:

(400) {this. resized = true; this. width = 400; this. alt = 'click here to open new window';} "onmouseover =" if (this. resized) this. style. cursor = 'hand'; "onclick =" window. open ('HTTP: // response); ">

Four desktops are arranged in a row with reflection effects

(400) {this. resized = true; this. width = 400; this. alt = 'click here to open new window';} "onmouseover =" if (this. resized) this. style. cursor = 'hand'; "onclick =" window. open ('HTTP: // response); ">

Automatic window Arrangement

(400) {this. resized = true; this. width = 400; this. alt = 'click here to open new window';} "onmouseover =" if (this. resized) this. style. cursor = 'hand'; "onclick =" window. open ('HTTP: // response); ">

Similar to the window binder of the Apple system, the arrow keys can be used to switch between different windows.

(400) {this. resized = true; this. width = 400; this. alt = 'click here to open new window';} "onmouseover =" if (this. resized) this. style. cursor = 'hand'; "onclick =" window. open ('HTTP: // response); ">

Exciting cube Desktop

There are many other special effects that I have not explored yet. It may take several days to fully understand. In addition to various themes and Gadgets, it is an endless treasure. Although my desktop only has MB of memory, but there is a MB graphics card, enabling these 3D effects does not feel the system speed is slowing down, powerful.
