When you first use SQL Server 2005, you do not know how to save after you modify the stored procedure.
I found the corresponding stored procedure in SQL Server Management Studio progammability, right-click and select "Modify", will open the editing window, I modified and click Save, but the "Save File as" dialog box, Let me choose the saved path and file name, which is saved as another file instead of saving the modified stored procedure directly. I do not know why this design, I think the general people are just beginning to use the same as I do. I didn't find another way to do it in SQL Server Management Studio. That's depressing!
Later found an article on the Internet "saving Stored Procedure" only know how to save the modified stored procedures, the original is by clicking the "Execute" button (or press the F5 key).
Originally I thought this operation was directly executing the stored procedure. Later I found that when the edit window was opened through "Modify", the "ALTER" keyword was added before the stored procedure, so the SQL statements in the stored procedure were not executed when the stored procedure was actually modified through the "execute" stored procedures. This reminds me of VS 2003 and VS 2005, and when you edit the stored procedure with them, the "ALTER" keyword is added before the stored procedure, but in VS 2003 and VS 2005, clicking the Save button will save the changes to the stored procedure directly. I don't think this is a reasonable design in SQL Server Management Studio.
