Yesterday, I deleted the ora 9 which was installed on ora 8 and down. I thought it was improved in all aspects. I prefer Fedora 9 to Ubuntu7.10. In particular, in the KDE 4 desktop environment of Fedora 9, KDE4 is a big revolution in the linux desktop environment, and the basic functions are far less compiz. However, it cannot be started. For those who have some linux experience, the first reaction is that no graphics card driver is installed. The new Fedora 9 does not have any new software source yet, so only the source code is compiled. Download the installation package from nvidia, but the compilation error probably means that the nvidia kernel module cannot be compiled. The problem may be that the xorg version of Fedora is too new and nvidia does not support it yet.
Therefore, compilation errors occur. The solution I know now is to downgrade xorg in Fedora 9 to Fedora 8. In addition, a foreign buddy has successfully completed the operation. I did not implement it myself. I want to wait for the new nvidia driver, I heard that the latest Linux driver version will be released in the last two weeks to support xorg.
