1 Enter the directory of mbstring in the PHP source code directory
cd/usr/local/src/php-5.2.4/ext/mbstring/

2 executing php bin/phpize files in the post-installation directory
/usr/local/php/bin/phpize (this requires aotuconf support, Unbutnu:sudo apt-get install aotuconf)
