This article describes how to install the snow effect plug-in Ubuntu. The results are quite good!
Installation Method:
(1) sudo apt-get install git
(2) git clone git: // anongit.compiz.org/fusion/plugins/snow
(3) linux @ linux-desktop :~ $ Cd snow # creates a snow folder in the main directory.
Linux @ linux-desktop :~ /Snow $ make & make install # compile
Normally, there should be no problem, and my problem is as follows: [Linux community www.linuxidc.com]
(1) Makefile: 48: *** [ERROR] Compiz not installed.
Solution: sudo apt-get install compiz-dev
(2) Makefile: 144: *** [ERROR] BCOP not installed but is needed to build plugin.
Solution: sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion-bcop
(3) linux @ linux-desktop :~ /Snow $ sudo make
Compiling: snow. c-> build/snow. lo/bin/sh: libtool: not found
Make: *** [build/snow. lo] Error 127
Solution: sudo apt-get install libtool
Let's see the results:
Choose system> preferences> CompizConfig Settings Manager.
Open Extras> Snow in it (set a check mark above), and set Key Bindings.
If not, the system will be logged out (prompted by a user)
--------------------
The deb package plug-in does not have a corresponding version.
An error occurs during the installation of earlier versions.
So I compiled the source code myself.
Code: git clone git: // anongit.compiz.org/fusion/plugins/snow
PS: If git is not installed, you can install sudo apt-get install git.
A snow folder will be generated in the main directory.
Cd
Input
Code: make & make install
Does the SNOW plug-in appear when you open CCSM?
You can also change the snowflake image to what you want.
