Ajax-based Web framework Echo2 recently announced the official release of the new version 2.0.

ECHO2 is an open source WEB framework based on Mozilla Public License. It uses the brand new AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) Web interface rendering engine. Interaction between all clients and servers adopts XMLHttpRequest. In this way, the user feels as smooth as the desktop application. Compared with traditional WEB applications, the performance is also dramatically improved. In ECHO2, all WEB interface rendering functions are completed by java-based java tools of ECHO2. Developers only need to use its UI tool to write the interface just like developing the swing interface.

In addition, EchoStudio development environment is updated, which matches Echo2 with the Eclipse plug-in worth $499.
