After two years of development, Google released today the first stable version of Android Studio 1.0--for the Android Developer Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
Android Studio has four different versions (you can change the version by setting up updates on the page), including Canary, Dev, beta, and stable. Here is a detailed description of them:
- Canary Version: This version of the update frequency is about a week, when they are tested, they are still subject to bug,google hope developers can find new bugs as soon as possible.
- Dev Version: This version was carefully selected from the Canary version and stood the test of time, with a frequency of one week or one months.
- Beta version: Although the presence of Android studio has always been seen as a preview quality level, it has a few beta versions, from 0.8.14 to the latest version of which are beta candidates.
- stable version: today's release of version 1.0, as well as other stable milestone versions.
