We have released ASP. NET. NET and Web Tools 2013.1 for Visual Studio. This release brings a ton of great improvements, and include some fantastic enhancements to ASP 5, Web API 2, SCAF Folding and Entity Framework to users of Visual Studio, and Visual Studio for the Web.

With this release of ASP. NET and Web Tools, it's now possible for developers using Visual Studio and Visual Studio 2 013 to collaborate in an ASP 5 application. This release brings on key features such as support for ASP. Razor 3 editing which allows developers to use syntax high Lighting and Intellisense when editing a Razor View in their MVC application. Developers can also is productive by using the new ASP. Scaffolding framework in Visual Studio, any type of web Application project such as ASP. Web Forms, MVC, and Web APIs.

ASP. NET MVC 5 and Web API 2 Templates

You can now use the MVC 5 or Web API 2 project templates to the Create an application. These project templates would install the necessary NuGet packages for MVC 5 and Web API 2.

This version of NuGet improves the experience around automatic package restore. When installing NuGet 2.7, the users implicitly consent to automatically restoring missing packages.
