Some readers may have questions about how the iOS simulator starts. How to locate the controls in the interface?

1.Inspector Introduction

Inspector The word literally means the inspector, which is understood to be an inspector, what to check? is actually used to check the control in the interface, you can use it to locate the control, of course, it is not only the function of this, you can also record scripts.

2. Start Inspector

When Appium is in a ready state, click the Appium icon in the rotation at the top of OS X, and a drop-down menu will pop up as shown in.

Click on the bottom of show Inspector and the Appium Inspector window will pop up, as shown in.

Also note that the emulator for the app also appears.

3. Positioning controls

When we click on a control on the right-hand side of the inspector, the details of the control appear on the left side, especially the name and XPath properties, which are important for the next test script, as shown in.

Note, however, that the right-most mobile interface does not directly support interactive operations, and requires the use of tap,swipe and shake at the lower left to make it clear that you will try it out.

Inspector also supports recording operations, but after personal use, it is not as good as writing your own code, not much more.
