Audi announced before the Frankfurt Motor show that it would launch its own Personal Intelligence assistant Pia, similar to the car version of Siri, in the hope that it could compete with its competitors in the IT industry.
Audi says it is better to start with its own digital assistant, the Personal Intelligence assistant PIA (Personal Intelligent Assistant), than it and the US Silicon Valley IT company argue about ownership.
The Personal Intelligence Assistant PIA collects information about the guests in the car, analyzes them in real-time traffic and network information, and helps drivers better decide on the way to travel and arrange things.
Industry analysts, IT companies to develop digital assistant software services occupy the market, especially Apple Siri and Google Assistant, the auto industry worried that the car companies may lose the market. It is expected that additional services from the future will become an important part of profitability, and automakers want their service products to earn money.
"The PIA system will provide guests with the services he has not yet thought of in advance," said Audi. This includes car navigation, selection of music accompaniment, in-car temperature regulation and the search for parking spaces.
