In Linux, tar can be used for backup. After I have installed totem, mplayer, and audacious on Fedora8 and completed wifi, I think I should back up the Fedora8 system. The Windows partition (NTFSorFAT32) was uninstalled under Fedora8 before the IBMR31 + TP-LINK310GWindowsXP + Fedora8 backup, and the advice of other brothers was found on the Internet. The command is as follows: cd

IBM R31 + TP-LINK 310G
Windows XP + Fedora8
The Windows partition (NTFS or FAT32) was uninstalled under Fedora8 before the backup. For more information, see the suggestions of other brothers. The command is as follows:
Cd/
Tar cvpzf backup. tgz/-- exclude =/proc -- exclude =/lost + found -- exclude =/backup. tgz -- exclude =/mnt
-- Exclude =/sys -- exclude =/media
Recovery should be used (not used ):
Tar xvpfz backup. tgz-C/
Then re-create the excluded directory.
In addition, my backup. tgz has been burned to the DVD + R and a Fedora8 liveCD (32-bit) disc is in urgent need.
