Build Android development environment for MAC (Yosemite)

This article environment:

Mac OS X Yosemite

JDK 1.7*

Eclipse 4.4 Luna

1. Create a development folder (Google recommends) in the home directory (username);

2. Go to http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html and click on the other Download Options below Android Studio to jump to SDK Tools only;

3. Download the corresponding sdk_rxx.x.x, store in the development folder and unzip;

4. Open Eclipse and click on the main menu of Help-install New Software; (Ladder required)

5. Click Add at the top right of the installation screen and enter it in the corresponding field:

Name ADT Plugin

Location https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/

6. Click OK, select Developer Tools, click Next;

7. Read and select accept the license agreements, click Finish;

8. The installation process will pop up "the authenticity or validity of the software can ' t be established", click OK;

9. After the installation is complete, click Restart Eclipse;

10.Eclipse restart, you will be prompted to specify the Android SDK directory, select just download and unzip the SDK directory, click Open;

11.SDK Manager automatically opens and prompts you to download the relevant toolkit: (Requires a ladder)

(At the same time, eclipse will pop up "Welcome to Android development, select Use existing SDKs-click Browse-Select SDK Directory")

12. Open the Tools folder and select:

Android SDK Tools

Android SDK Platform-tools

Android SDK build-tools (select Latest Version)

13. Select Android x.x (more than 4.0 of all versions are recommended)

14. Other options:

API-(Android support Repository Android support Library)

Google Play service-(Google Repository Google Play services)

(Google Play service only applies to Android phones with Google Play Store)

15. Click Install XX Packages;

16. In the list on the left side of the interface, double-click each package name to agree to the license Agreement;

17. Click Install;

18. Wait for download ...

19. After the download is complete, under "Welcome to Android development" screen, select Use existing SDKs-click Browse-Select SDK Directory ";
