Building Android development environment in Linux environment

This article focuses on building the Android development environment under Ubuntu, using the IDE for Eclipse (the same with Android studio, and eliminating the steps to configure the SDK and install the ADT plugin).

1. Installing the JDK

(1) JDK8:http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

(2) Select the Linux version of the download, such as the download is the TAR package using the #tar xvzf xxx.tar.gz command to extract, as shown below is the RPM package is installed using RPM-IVH xxx.rpm.

(3) Configure environment variable: Execute command vi/etc/profile Edit profile, add the following lines

Export Java_home= "The path where the JDK is located"
Export path= $JAVA _home/bin: $PATH
Export classpath=.: $JAVA _home/lib/dt.jar: $JAVA _home/lib/tools.jar

2. Installing the SDK

(1) Ubuntu x64 system requires the installation of 32-bit library files for 32-bit compatible programs

sudo apt-get install-y libc6-i386 lib32stdc++6 lib32gcc1 lib32ncurses5 lib32z1

(2) SDK Download official website http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html , domestic mirror http://gmirror.org/#android-sdk-tools-only

#tar Xvzf xxx.tar.gz

(3) $ sudo vim/etc/profile

Add the following content
Export Path=/usr/local/android-sdk-linux/tools:/usr/local/android-sdk-linux/platform-tools: $PATH

3. Install Eclipse

Download the Eclipse for Linux version and install Http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-java-ee-developers/neonr

4. Installing the ADT Plugin

(1) Start Eclipse, select Help>install New software
(2) Click Add, enter "ADT" in Name, enter "http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/" in location, and the ADT version should be the same as the SDK version.

(3) Configuring the ADT Plugin

Select Window > Preferences, select Android from the list on the left to specify the path to the SDK

(4) Adding platforms and other components

Select Window > Android SDK Manager, select a platform, install
