Ubuntu is a Community-developed linux-based operating system with elegant and concise interfaces. In last October, customized Ubuntu was launched in China. Dell, Lenovo, Acer, and Asus are the main partners of Canonical in China. The company works with these partners to adapt and authenticate Ubuntu.
It is understood that the cooperation between Canonical and Dell is pre-installed, including desktops, laptops and servers. Starting from October this year, in addition to online direct sales, Dell commercial computers sold at retail stores will also be pre-installed with Ubuntu systems.
At present, Ubuntu core can be used to convert it into a version suitable for tablet computers, but no mobile operating system has been released yet.
In July this year, Jane Silber, CEO of Canonical, revealed that an office will be set up in Beijing and the Chinese name of Ubuntu will be finalized. This afternoon, Canonical China Manager Yu liqiang revealed that the related Chinese localization work is still in progress.
Canonical claims that Ubuntu has 20 million users worldwide, and the installation volume in the Chinese market has grown by 150%. Regarding the cloud computing layout, it is working with companies like HP.
