CentOS partition cfdisk operation

Warning: If you are installing an xp and CentOS dual-system, do not move disk partitions under centos. Otherwise, the boot zone will crash and you will not be able to start both systems .!!! If you have already done so, the system will crash. Don't worry, find a PE to fix the boot zone of windows, install CentOS again, and select update system when selecting, then, rewrite mbr !!! As my ftp grows, the disadvantages of small partitions gradually become apparent at the beginning, and I have to continue with the existing partitions.

However, after trying for a long time, I broke down my host !!!

At last, we finally found a cfdisk, the interactive character interface partition software.

Enter cfdisk to display my current disk settings, my virtual machine. I want to split half of the last logical partition sda5, which is basically the same as that in windows. please refer.

Delete partitions first

 

Press the left or right keys on the keyboard, select new, and click OK.

Select the primary partition or the extended partition. here I select the logical extended partition.

Select the size, in MB. do not press the left or right keys on the disk. Otherwise, the first step is returned. remember the number above, that is, the maximum capacity that can be divided, for example, if you want to divide the partition into two partitions of the same size, you only need to enter 1048. Enter.

 

Select in or end to start partitioning.

 

The second part is the same. after completion, select Write and Write. Select Quite.

Do not worry. if you do not execute the Write command, you can directly select Quite without saving and exiting.

 

All the work is not over yet. now you can see the new partition here, but it does not exist in/etc/dev/. it cannot be mounted or other, just restart the machine !!

If you are not satisfied with the partition format, you can format the partition as ext4, because the default partition format is ext2.
