Do you remember Pear OS? It's a gnu/linux release that looks very much like Mac os X, but unfortunately it's been acquired by a big company that we don't know the name of today, and the authorities have stopped Pear OS and Pear Cloud downloads.
Last year we reported that a Portuguese developer, Rodrigo Marques, created a clone of Pear OS Linux and posted it in Pearos's name to SourceForge.
At the time, the Pearos clone version made Pear OS old users disappointed because they were a group of people who were accustomed to the fine, demanding details to emulate the MAC OS X system.
But after a period of development, now Pearos has brought a redesigned MAC OS X look, which is still based on the popular Ubuntu LTS version 14.04 trusty Tahr.

At the request of the reader, we downloaded the Pearos 9.3 Live CD and see how it looks in the class Mac OS X. We have to say that this update is a big improvement over its initial release!
Of course, this whole Mac OS X look is based on the GNOME desktop environment, and it's architected on the Gnome Shell user interface and makes a lot of tuning optimizations. You should download the Pear OS 9.3 ISO Image yourself to experience it.
