Configure the VNC server in CentOS6

1, currently commonly used vnc is tigervnc, in the server we only need to install tigervnc-server, that is, the vnc server: yuminstalltigervnc-server-y2, check whether tigervnc-server is successfully installed: rpm-qtigervnc-server if the installation is successful it will show: tigervnc-server-1.1.0-5.el6_4.1.i686, of course I'm currently using tigervnc-

1. Currently, tigervnc is commonly used. on the server side, we only need to install tigervnc-server, that is, the vnc server:

yum install tigervnc-server -y

2. check whether tigervnc-server is successfully installed:

rpm -q tigervnc-server

If the installation is successful, the tigervnc-server-1.1.0-5.el6_4.1.i686 will be displayed, of course, the version of the tigervnc-server I am currently using is 1.1.0-5. el6_4.1

3. modify the/etc/sysconfig/vncservers configuration file and add the following content:

VNCSERVERS="1:root"VNCSERVERARGS[2]="-geometry 800x600 -nolisten tcp"

Note that VNCSERVERS is followed by 1. the default port number of the vnc service is 5900. when logging on to vnc, the following port number should be: 5900 + n (that is, 1 mentioned above)

4. restart the service after modification:

service vncserver restart

5. if the firewall is enabled, allow the specified port number to access the local machine in the firewall, or disable the firewall.
