When a macro, such as an RSS macro, makes an HTTP request, it may cause a time-out because the request is longer. You can avoid this problem by setting the system parameters.
To configure the HTTP timeout setting:
In the upper-right corner of the screen, click the console button , and then select the general Configuration link.
Select Basic Configuration (General Configuratio) at the top of the left panel.
Find the link timeout (Connection timeouts) option below the screen. Find the ' section in the lower portion of the screen.
Click Edit to adjust the settings:
Adjust external connection enablement (adjust External connections enabled): This setting allows the system administrator to disable externally connected macros, such as RSS macro macros. This will prevent this macro from connecting to external servers, which avoids inserting HTML, timeouts, and other performance issues from external servers. The default setting is ' true '.
Connection Timeout (milliseconds Connection timeout (milliseconds)): This setting is the maximum link timeout time. If set to 0, the connection timeout is not limited. The default value is 10 seconds (10000).
Socket Timeout (MS Socket timeout (milliseconds)): Sets the default socket time-out (So_timeout), which is the default value of milliseconds. This value is the maximum amount of time confluence waits for data. If set to 0, it means that the data is kept waiting. The default value is 10 seconds (10000).
