Debian fails to install samba.

Debian fails to install samba-general Linux technology-Linux technology and application information. For details, refer to the following section. I installed debian6 on a computer 10.7.49.91 on the LAN (My LAN uses a fixed ip address and is bound to a mac address)
The samba service is enabled by default!
According to the method described on the internet, set/etc/samba/smb. conf as follows:
[Global]
Workgroup = WORKGROUP
Server string = wl-debian (My debian host name)

[Wl-winxp] (My winxp host name)
Comment = mysmb
Path =/home/pingtou/smb # pingtou is the username for logging on to debian.
Browseable = yes
Read only = no
Writeable = yes
Valid users = wl-winxp

Restart the samba service.
Set the logon password for wl-winxp

However, in 10.7.50.21, "wl-debian" #10.7.50.21 is the ip address of a windows xp computer in my LAN.

The ip fields in the LAN of the two computers are different. Does it affect samba settings?

On the debian computer, you can find wl-winxp through workgroup, but you cannot log on to wl-winxp!
Debian cannot be seen in Windows XP!
