Editor's note: This article comes from Insider, a popular commercial review media business, from the recent in-depth Google I/O conference, and then gradually describes the reasons why Google and Apple have never been a mortal enemy ...

These days of the Google I/O conference is in full swing, if there is a company that everyone will inevitably think of the words, then I believe the inevitable is Apple undoubtedly.

It's also easy to understand because Apple and Google have been talking about the smartphone industry as a dead enemy. Mr. Jobs was said to have claimed that Android had stolen the iphone and was furious that he had vowed to wipe out Android.

If that's the case, then Google announced these days at the I/O conference-even since Google started making its first Android phone in 2009-is a provocation for Apple!

Unless, it's not true, Google and Apple are never mortal enemies!

Apple and Google are two completely different companies. Although they all have similar products –ios and Android, Apple Maps and Google Maps, the Apple Store and Google play– but their reasons for doing business and the purpose are different.

This can be seen from the mission statement of these two companies one or two.

Apple's mission statement:

Apple designs the world's best PC Macs and its complementary OS X operating system, iwork and other professional software. Apple's ipods and itunes online store are leading the digital music revolution. Apple has re-invented the traditional phone through its revolutionary iphone and its corresponding Apple store, and has redefined the future of mobile media and computer equipment through the ipad.

Popular point is that:

Aplle is a hardware company. It's not fucking (Editor's note: Original translation) cares about your private data (as opposed to Google, the following talks). What it is thinking all day is how to use the price that can make the biggest profit for a long time (this is the key point –apple, like many very successful technology companies, the company's vision is far more than a quarter or a year) can sell more mobile phones and computers. Of course, it will also develop some pretty basic applications to embed into its hardware devices, but just to make their hardware devices work better. So Apple is concerned only with hardware devices.

Google's mission statement:

Google's mission is to integrate global information so that everyone can access and benefit from it.

So what Google wants is data, which is always insatiable for data. In fact, the top 10 apps on Apple's itunes Apple Store are from Google, none of which comes from Apple.

Google has bombast said it will allow the next batch of 1 billion people to use the Internet, and Google will occasionally hold a number of public welfare activities. But let's not forget that 90% of Google's earnings are revenue from advertising. So if it can master the more data the ads are targeting, the more valuable these ads are, the more money advertisers will pay Google.

One of the first reasons Google bought Android in the year was to get a rodeo, which could not allow a competitor to make an operating system that uses a search engine that competes with itself, as it would eat away at Google's advertising business. Google has a market share of up to 70% in this market, and a large number of people are using Android – and, crucially, these people don't use iOS or other mobile devices.

But the more you use your Android phone, the more data you will give to Google. Then Google will use the data to help them sell more ads. If Google can really get an additional 1 billion people to use the Internet in the future, then you can imagine that this means that another 1 billion people are using Google's advertising services.

In other words, "Google is not a charity," says Matt Rosoff, a "Business Insider" from the famous media.

This has a positive side effect on Google: the more data Google gets, the more accurate the service it can provide. This, in turn, will attract more users to come and provide more data. This will create a virtuous circle for the improvement of Google's product quality.

Now the Google today service can collect your data to remind you when you're about to leave for the airport, and Google Photos service can tell you which picture has your grandmother inside, Google's search engine can predict that you may be preparing to search "Heaven Zhuhai" More articles ...

Perhaps everyone in the mind will think: Apple is not a fool, why not share it? In fact, if Apple wanted it, it would certainly be able to create a cheaper iphone by the end of the year and move into the mobile app development market to break Android's dominance of the market. You know they have a lot of good people, and they can't burn out cash flow.

But Apple doesn't have too much of a finger in these areas. Because, as long as a large number of people pay a lot of money to buy its hardware equipment, Apple's stakeholders will be very happy.
And Google is not the same, it needs to go around and get more data, because its business is built on the data! And that's why Google and Apple can't be the main cause of death.
