Install the gsynaptics package

Yum install gsynaptics
Gedit/etc/X11/xorg. conf

Add the following red letter to synaptics.

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Synaptics"
Driver "synaptics"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
Option "SHMConfig" "on"
EndSection

Log out and log on again. Set it in system> preference> hardware> touchpad.
