Linux leader Linus Torvalds said at the Melbourne Linux conference this week that the green architecture and tools for Linux are ready.

When asked if he would retire, Torvalds said he did not. He believes that even if he leaves, Linux has a strong community to support.

Torvalds is also happy with the disappearance of digital rights management (DRM). last year, he once said that he believed that DRM was of little use, the current situation proves that his judgment is correct.

He said: "DRM is so anti-consumer that I didn't see this technology really worked ."
