AVD(android Virtual device) that is Android emulator, it is officially provided by Android , a can run Android Program's virtual machine, before running the Android program, you first need to create the AVD emulator. The steps to create the AVD emulator are as follows:
(1) Click the Eclipse Toolbar tab to display the AVD Management Tool dialog box, as shown in1.33 .

Infigure 1.33 , click "New..." button, the "Create new Android virtualdevice (AVD)" dialog box pops up, as shown in the1.34 dialog box, where you first enter the name of the AVD you want to create and select AVD Simulator version, then set the memory size of the SD card and select the screen style.

Clickthe "OK" button to return to the "Android Virtual devicemanager" dialog box, as shown in1.35 , when you can see that an AVD emulator has been created , select the emulator to edit, delete, view, and start, respectively, by clicking the edit, delete,Details , and start buttons on the right.
