But many people do not know that Google's Android system is not really permanent free. In 2012, Google acquired Motorola, the then-handset giant, which needed the approval of China (which is regulated by the Antitrust law). The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has conditional approval of the acquisition, provided that Google is obliged to maintain a free and open policy for Android for the next 5 years. But whether or not to charge after 5 years is still undecided. This agreement has been more than 5 years, Google did not give specific fees and related information.

In China's mobile phone market, the use of Android phone proportion accounted for about 85%, the Apple system accounted for about 14%, the remaining 1% is other rarely used systems. In China, it is because of the free Android system to promote the development of Chinese mobile phones. Because of the cost of making a mobile phone at the time, the most mobile phone system before Android appeared was the MediaTek MTK system, but the system was not free. Mobile phone manufacturers to the MTK every year to pay a higher system usage fees, so the general small handset manufacturers do not have this ability. If Google charges Android, mobile phone manufacturers will not buy this single, the ultimate cost or transfer to the hands of consumers. The likely result is that small handset makers are out of business, and larger handset makers will raise the price of their handsets to keep them running.

So China needs to develop a set of its own mobile phone operating system, perhaps now Ali in this area in front, but the strength and speed is not enough. Only the real domestic real emergence of a completely independent mobile phone system, can easily deal with all kinds of risk difficulties.
