Chrome cannot properly open your configuration file in Ubuntu

I installed a bunch of software on Ubuntu10.04. Somehow, chrome encountered a major problem and prompted me "you cannot open your configuration file correctly. Some functions may be unavailable. Check whether the configuration file exists and whether you have the right to read and write the content in the configuration file ." This is quite uncomfortable. google does not know the answer for a long time (it is found that chrome is to be reinstalled, But I Cannot uninstall it completely .....), the final solution is as follows: first back up the bookmarks ....................

Back up the bookmarks ....................

Delete the/home/your username/. config/google-chrome folder and open it ..............

Rm-r ~ /. Config/google-chrome

For chromium:

Rm-r ~ /. Config/chromium
